This week we are enjoying the "Powerful Choices" educational program offered by Puget Sound Energy. |
March 9: Students played a board game which illustrated consequences of choices of different modes of transportation. The Greenhouse effect was discussed.
March 10: Students choices about buying consumer products. Our speaker also referred to Chris Jordan photography: Running the Numbers, which looks at contemporary American culture through the lens of statistics. Each image portrays a specific quantity of something: fifteen million sheets of office paper (five minutes of paper use); 106,000 aluminum cans (thirty seconds of can consumption) and so on.
