It all started, or so they think, with a belt titled the Sam Browne belt. In 1812, in a period of war, these belts became popular.  Can you guess who invented it? A) Mr. Good Bar B) Bozo the Clown C) Sam Browne.  If you said "c" then wow, you got it, and if you said, "a" or "b," then you have some serious issues.  Now back to Sam Browne.  He was an officer with the British army in India.  After losing his arm, he had to have a belt to carry his sword.  This invention has influenced the modern belts of today.
